Dave Whorton

Dave has over 20 years’ experience investing behind and actively supporting the highest potential entrepreneurs at KPCB, TPG Ventures, and Tugboat Ventures, where he is Managing Director. Prior to founding Tugboat, Dave was the founding CEO and executive chairman of Good Technology (acquired by Motorola), the co-founder of Drugstore.com (acquired by Walgreens), a co-founding board member of Newschools Venture Fund, and GM and president of Optical Engineering, Inc. Dave also worked earlier at Hewlett Packard, Netscape, and Bain & Company. He holds a MBA from Stanford University, and a BA in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley.
