Negotiating Tips

Tip #1
Be prepared. If you know that you could get lower APR with another issuer, you'll have a lot more conviction and success.
Tip #2
Be respectful. No one likes a jerk and being rude won't help.
Tip #3
Don't be afraid to ask for more: "Is this the best you can do?" You never know if you don't ask.
Tip #4
Don't balance transfer unless you can help it. Balance transfer fees can be high, intro rates can expire, and opening a new card can impact your credit.
