amen to that!
I'm still settling in to debt goal, working the plan, seeing it working. After the 19th of this month I'll either be incredibly better off or still dedicated to slogging my way through. Getting a little nervous...we've applied for refinancing on the house that will save us $440.00 mo if it passes appraisal. (was 340.00 but they want to absorb one cc that will save me another 100.00). I so want this! Prayers appreciated!

Good luck! Just think how much faster you'll be able to pay off your other debts with an extra $440!
Keep us posted on what happens.

Good luck!! I'm really excited for you. Lowering that payment will free up a lot of cash to help you out. timing is everything...
Hey Scott n Darren,
Thanks so much for your good wishes! Unfortunately...blah blah blah...yep, it's not going to work. One more #500.00 lesson on the shelf. On the bright side, I now understand enough about loan to value/debt to income/bringing money to the table at closing that I can be realistic about the rejection. One lesson I haven't learned, obviously, is to listen to my head. I applied for the refi when I received an invitation letter from the company who "couldn't do it" in January. I made myself believe that the addition we completed would be enough to make the difference but it wasn't. Our next project focuses on the kitchen and bath which will make an appreciable difference. However, the REAL difference lies in PAYING IT DOWN = this lesson I do have intact and tucked away. Though bruised, I am not defeated. The sun will rise tomorrow and Roy and I will enjoy another day of life with all the abundance around us. Thank you, Jesus, for your provision and strength. We will get there...right after we pay the piper.
