Confused about the updated site + bugs
I see there you are updating the site. I am confused about a couple of things.
First, I am working on October. All of my September payments have been made. I started on October a few days ago. Sears is my target account. My minimum required payment is $88. Debt Goal told me to send $437. I thought that was a bit rough, but checked it out in my checkbook, and figured out how to swing it. With the update, the program now says to send far less. Also, looking forward into November, before the update, Debt Goal said to send $132 (whew, I couldn't do $437 again!) now it says to send a bit less than $200 (which I can handle.) I don't get it, the math didn't change. Also, the total of my recommended payments has decreased by $200 with the update.
A couple of bugs that I see. My minimum payment on my Chase card is $125.00 Debt Goal decided with the update that my new payment should be $123.75. I paid the $125 (the payment required by the bank.) Now,, Debt Goal says I paid $1.25 "extra" but I didn't.
One last request: the colors on each account would change when the account was paid for the month. Now they don't. Please make it change colors again when the monthly payment has been made- unfortunately I have a large amount of bills to pay each month, and this helps me to ensure that I don't get hammered with higher interest rates than I am already paying.
Thanks for your wonderful service. My wife and I are actually excited about paying bills now. There is a light at the end of the tunnel...and it isn't a train!

Re: Confused about the updated site + bugs
HiFiGuy - can you check if recommended payment for any account other than the 2 you mention has changed? Your Monthly Commitment is the total of your minimums of all accounts when you started the plan. This re-distribution of your recommended payments is largely because of $200 reduction in Monthly Commitment - did you increase/ decrease your Minimum Commitment at any point? Can you send me your account specific details at firstname.lastname@example.org?
We rolled out our latest release this morning which will make the site much faster and more stable. You should not be seeing any large difference in your debt plan but for look&feel.
Thanks for your feedback so far, we're looking into the 2 accounts you have highlighted.Bhawna is a Debt Expert and is inspired by so many determined to becoming debt-free.
