Jean Chatzky, noted TV personality and our Director of Education coached a SavvyMoney member, Julie C from Tennessee, how to start finding money for her financial goals. Jean had one simple guideline for Julie to get started with saving her food expenses. This would mean eating out less frequently and planning meals in advance.
2 weeks later and Julie was already seeing progress! We're so thrilled with Julie's progress and would love to hear more stories from you all. Tell us how you are doing, what's working (or not!). and of course leave Julie a note of congratulations - she would love to know she has SavvyMoney community's support.

Great advice. Last night I went out to celebrate with my wife. This morning, I took a bit of time and threw some stuff in a crockpot that will give enough soup for a few meals.
Yes, it's true--I did a crockpot. I am Thriftyman, after all.Scott started SavvyMoney because he passionately believes that life is better without debt. Since everyone should have a superhero name, Scott decided that ThriftyMan pretty well described his mission to save the world. Scott used to market credit cards, but now dedicates himself to people out of debt.
