Recording Payments
Hi. On my to-do list is to record two payments. On the Dashboard: One of them was made three weeks ago, is highlighted in red, and in the column next to it, "Record Payment." Well, I clicked on Record Payment, indicated that the payment was made and on what date, then submitted it, and it doubled the payment. So I deleted one of the payments, as it had for some reason recorded two payments, and it still won't record. Help. Thanks.

You're probably seeing this on your Target Account. We're continuing to suggest you to record a payment on your Target Account because the amount you've paid up to now is lower than the Recommended Payment. Your Recommended Payment is the amount we suggest you pay on each account to stay on track of your plan.
If you've already paid the additional recommended amount, you can either record only the additional amount by clicking on Record Payment, then editing the amount paid. You can also find the Edit Payments link in the list of Actions (right most column on Payments page) and edit total you've paid so far.
Let me know if this helps.Bhawna is a Debt Expert and is inspired by so many determined to becoming debt-free.

Hi. Thank you. My problem is I've been with the program a little over a month and the recommended payment amounts keep changing. I've adjusted them with advice from SavvyMoney folks once; now they've changed again. My target amount has increased by the amount of the payment on another card on my list. And the recommended payment on that other card was reduced to zero. How can I pay zero on a card? That does not make any sense. How do I fix this? I am paying my recommended amount on the target card; yet that amount has been jacked up for no seeming reason. This is making me slighly crazy. This has yet to go smoothly for me. Thanks.

I think I see what may be happening. Your Target Account is the first one with the payment due every month. All your other statements roll in later and change the recommended payment.
I'll send you a private message so I can discuss account details with you. More from me in an email.Bhawna is a Debt Expert and is inspired by so many determined to becoming debt-free.

I have attempted to reply to your private email and get an Error 404. The system will not allow me to reply. Sigh.
